Talent on DA

Every day i am looking at your wonderful work here on DA and i am so often flabbergasted about so much talent!! It is almost intimidating!

What i also think is that it is very inspiring and it brings you to higher levels. So many things to learn, so many things to explore in the field of photography. What is so great about DA is that it is not only about photography. I see so many beautiful artwork of all disciplines over here. That is the difference with for example Flickr. Though i am a die hard Flickr fan i see myself more often hanging out here with you on DA because of the variety that is offered.
Anyway what i wanted to do with this mail is thank you all for so much inspiration and also for visiting and commenting on my stream! I appreciate it a lot and I love your feedback!!
And eh... i finally hit the 100.000 views!! Yeahhhhhh

New show coming up!!

Hello my Deviant friends!
i have a show coming up on the 22th of May!! The show is called: "OP HET PUNT VAN AANRAKEN" and I will be working together with South African artists Ha!man (cello player) and Laura Kirsten (afrikaans performance poet).
It will be such a challenge as it are three different artforms and we only can do the preparations virtually! So the actual show will be very very exciting!
Anyway.. we are combining our different art forms and try to melt it into one. Reaching out to eachother and touching eachother... It will be an audivisual show where we all three will cross our borders.
So if you have time or if you are in the neighbourhood i am urging you to come!!!!!!

Exhibition Gallery Wildevuur

Some bad things have happened in my life but also many good things, so i try to enjoy life as much as possible under the circumstances.

Here is a page out of the invitation of the opening of Gerard van de Weerds (www.gerardvandeweerd.nl) upcoming exhibition. He will be presenting his new book "Verstilde Schoonheid" (www.gerardvandeweerd.nl/boeken_verstilde_schoonheid.html) at the beautiful Gallery Wildevuur in Hooghalen, Holland ( www.wildevuur.nl)
As you might have read from my previous posts, Gerard commissioned me to photograph him in his studio with his models for this book. Seven of those were published in the book. And the best thing is... the gallery owners asked me to exhibit my photographs in their gallery during Gerard's exhibition! This is a gallery that normally does not exhibit photographers work. They enjoyed my photos so much that they made an exception. I am reaaaaaaaaallly PROUD! Also two of my photographs were used for the invitation booklet.

The exhibition is being held from 20th of March 2009 up to and including 19th of April 2009. The book is for sale through Gerard's website
